Zest opens EV charging facilities at The Great Barn, a popular Oxfordshire wedding venue

Zest, one the UK’s fastest growing Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point operators, has opened new EV charging facilities at The Great Barn, a wedding venue on the Northamptonshire/Oxfordshire border.

Set in a 250-acre farming estate, the 18th century barn venue features two-feet thick Cotswold stone walls and exposed oak beams and was built in 1770 as part of the Cartwright estate in Aynho.

Managing Director of The Great Barn, Jerry Stephenson, said: “Providing EV charging adds to our ongoing commitment to sustainability. The food we use is locally sourced and ethically produced, and renewable power is generated by our 25kW solar panels.
Finding a reliable partner to provide and manage the EV charging service over the long term was vital. Zest, with its sustainability credentials and expert knowledge was an ideal fit for us.”
Zest CEO, Robin Heap, said: “An increasing number of hospitality venues want to meet the burgeoning consumer demand for EV charging, but many underestimate the operational complexity of providing a reliable long-term service.
At Zest we take care of everything. We provide the service at no cost to the venue, manage every aspect of the project, and provide a high-quality service to customers. It leaves The Great Barn team free to focus on their business, knowing that the EV charging service is in safe hands.”

Zest worked with expert contractors Haywood EV for the installation.
