Zest has switched-on the first rapid charger in its partnership with Transport for London (TfL). It’s at West Wickham High Street on the busy A232 in Bromley, South London and is the first of many. Under the TfL EV Infrastructure Delivery (EVID) programme, Zest is investing in rapid and ultra-rapid chargers on strategic roads across London to allow high mileage road users to make the switch to zero emission. By facilitating the transition to EV, the new charge points will help improve air quality in communities across the capital.
Zest passed another major deployment milestone this week – more than 300 charging points in use in London – a great achievement from a standing start less than a year ago. The majority of these have been deployed in major projects with forward-looking councils like Hackney and Brent, and the pace of the rollouts continues to accelerate.
