Zest named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women 2023

Zest, one of the UK's fastest growing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging networks, has been named on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women 2023 List. Compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute in the medium sized business category, this recognises organisations that have redefined workplace culture, setting high standards for gender equity and inclusion. From robust talent development programmes to fair pay and benefits, the list cites workplaces that prioritise the success and wellbeing of their female employees.

Zest was certified as a Great Place to Work® (GPW) earlier this year. The company applied for certification to get an objective measure of how well it is doing and where it might improve. Zest was assessed through a comprehensive Trust IndexTM employee survey and a Culture AuditTM processes built on 30 years of research and over 100 million surveys.

GPW Certification means that an overwhelming number of employees agree that, collectively, Zest has built a work culture it can be proud of. One that’s welcoming to new joiners, trusting, high performing, compassionate and rewarding.

Based in Leeds and operating nationwide, Zest has grown quickly since launching in October 2021, and the team now stands at more than 90 people.

“Zest is on a mission to deliver societal change through decarbonisation, and we are determined to preserve and develop our ethical culture and values as we grow.” said RobinHeap, CEO of Zest.
“Our people thrive when there are high levels of trust, where people are empowered, and their opinions valued. Great Place to Work gives us objective tools to measure our progress in building a great company, and we are proud to be named as one of the Best Workplaces for Women.”
